B&H Returns to Pukekohe (Part 1)

B&H Endurance Races return to Pukekohe Park

The B & H (Bruce and Hulme) 100 and 500 Endurance Races - Jointly organised by HRC, ACC, NSCC and NZIGP, are returning to Pukekohe. This homage to the past will take place on Saturday 5th October 2019.

Like the original races, the 500 (km) is for standard production cars (2KCUP and BMW E30 for instance) and the 100 (miles) for slightly modified cars such as those that run in ACC Production Race Series and IPC.

Rules for these races are fairly simple. For the 500, cars should be as they left the factory. Cars can have safety equipment added. (Roll cages, seat, Harness) tyres to WOF standard. We would also encourage new standard production cars to enter – providing they have a retail value of less than $100,000.

Teams of 2 to 3 cars will be accepted and they can run as relay entry but they will have to make their pit stops a minimum of 3 Minutes when changing cars so they are an equal footing with single entries that have to refuel.

Trophies will awarded to the outright winner and the following class winners: 3001-6000 cc, 2001-3000cc, 1601-2000cc. 0-1600cc

Note that in the recent 3 hour North Island Endurance Series round at Hampton Downs, a 2K Cup car won its class and came 12th overall and this was against some exotic GT3 Machinery.

Standard Production Car Rules (B & H 500 and B & H 100)

The B & H 100 is for slightly modified cars that comply with IPC rules

The organisers would like to see a display of cars that ran in the original Benson Hedges 500 and 1000. We would also welcome along any drivers that competed in the original races, so If you know of any original cars or competitors, we would love to hear from you.
